CITT Finds No Injury in PET Anti-Dumping Case

Anti-Dumping Case Terminated - Certain Polyethylene Terephthalate Resin 2018-03-22

On March 16, 2018 the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) announced that it has terminated its inquiry into the dumping and/or subsidizing of certain polyethylene terephthalate resin originating in or exported from China, India, Oman and Pakistan either because the quantities imported are negligible or because the dumping and/or subsidizing have not caused injury and are not threatening to cause injury to the domestic industry.

A statement of reasons will be issued by the CITT on or before April 1st. Any provisional Anti-Dumping or Subsidy that has been collected by CBSA during the Preliminary Determination phase of this investigation will be automatically refunded by the CBSA to those importers affected.
