SIMA Expiry Review: Refined SugarRecommencement of SIMA Expiry Review: Refined Sugar 2012-06-27 In December 2010 the Canadian International Trade Tribunal rescinded its Order imposing antidumping duty on refined sugar originating in or imported from Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, and countervailing duty on refined sugar originating in or exported from the European Union. On May 30, 2012, the Federal Court of Appeal allowed an application for judicial review, set aside the Tribunal’s order and returned the matter to the Tribunal for reconsideration. The Tribunal therefore gives notice that it will recommence its expiry review as it pertains to these countries and the EU.
